p13 David C Miller    It looks like 2019 should be another outstanding year for both aeronautical and non-aeronautical business at St. Louis Regional Airport. Work is starting on Phase II of construction to expand the ramp to further aeronautical business.
One million dollars in federal funds and $50,000 in state funds have been awarded for the ramp project. Later in the year there will be pavement and drainage improvements around the T-hangars.
Our 600-acre business park is poised for non-aeronautical growth as well. So far interest in new development has been strongest on the corner closest to the new entrance to Illinois 255, but larger tracts of land are also available.
Five new commissioners have been appointed in the last year. These talented community leaders are bringing renewed energy to operations while remaining committed to using business development – and not tax increases – as the primary resource for growth.
p13 STL Regional Airport    Anchor tenant West Star Aviation has once again been selected as Professional Pilot Magazine’s number-one maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider in the nation. The company continues to draw business nationally and internationally with close to 10 percent of its revenue coming from international clients.
With easy access to highway, rail, warehousing, barge and air transportation, St. Louis Regional Airport makes East Alton and Bethalto an ideal location for businesses that want to move people or products around the region, the country or the globe.
