HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital’s goal is to provide high-value care to all, and we embrace the concept of selfless devotion to our patients, visitors, colleagues and the community. We strive to fulfill our mission through advanced technologies, professional, skilled and compassionate caregivers, and the highest level of quality service.
As St. Elizabeth’s prepares to open our 144-bed hospital off Interstate 64 in O’Fallon, Illinois, our continued goal is to create a healing environment that combines technology and efficiencies to provide high quality health care to our entire region.
Our new hospital is allowing us to upgrade our technology so that when we open in November 2017, we will be the most technologically advanced hospital on both sides of the river for that moment in time. Those improvements include larger, more specialized trauma rooms in our emergency department, 3D biopsy equipment and state-of-the-art imaging equipment, a surgery integration system designed to facilitate the interaction of multi-disciplinary clinical care teams, a hybrid operating room for high-intensity procedures that also supports our structural heart program, as well as telemedicine for neurology, stroke, pediatrics, and cardiology.
Our project is approximately 80% complete and on budget. Additionally, the 120-acre site provides many growth opportunities for the future so our mission can continue for decades to come.
